Lists, those I can do.
- I just deleted 802 spam comments.
- I listen to The Shins’ “Wincing the Night Away” about 10 times a day.
- I will only stop listening when i can recall every word, sing every harmony, and hear every track, in order, in my head, constantly. Then, I will quit, because by that point, it will be driving me nuts to be able to do that.
- I own a fantastic car that is rusting away in my parking lot, and thinking about it almost makes me cry.
- I also own a motorcycle that has no license plates. This just makes me feel lazy.
- I am ridiculously in love with a blonde-haired, blue-eyed songwriter with a fantastic voice.
- I am also ridiculously lucky that he loves me back.
- Because of said songwriter and his fire-and-brimstone Southern Baptist upbringing, the stories about church-funded Klan meetings, the record-burnings, the creek baptisms, the way it feels to walk through the burnt factory ruins in his hometown, I am currently enthralled with the foreign land that is the South.
- I haven’t written a complete piece of fiction in probably 5 years.
- I have written probably 50 ads, 25 brochures and other printed things, a handful of websites, a couple film scripts, and one coffee-table book in the past 5 years.
- I would probably have rather written the fiction.
- I should write some about the South, and all of the above.
- I have somehow become addicted to hummus and avocadoes. It’s a several-a-week habit.
- I have neglected my best friend lately, and I miss her.
- I know that with one phonecall, I could listen to the only existing recording of me playing the trumpet on stage.
- I know that I won’t make the phonecall, because I’m terrified to hear what that sounds like.
- I feel very alive this spring.
- I know 2007 is going to be a different kind of year. Good different.
