Dear guessing-boy

Filed under: General — kendra @ 5:37 pm

To the person i apparently went to high school with and who is now making me guess (through my site comments) at his identity - you got me, dude. I’ve got no clue who you are. And furthermore, your approach is kind of freaking me out.

so there.

maybe i’m really back now. who knows?

it was brought to my attention that i have not posted to the site for months. All i got to say is - stuff it. i’m busy.

since the last post - the post-burningman-post (and burningman, consequently, deserves some expounding and some of the hundred or so fabulous images that were taken - but not today), i’ve:
• Visited Baltimore (where i found the best clothing store - and the best seafood - ever, ever)
• Spent the night in a mideveal castle in Coventry, UK
• Hiked around London for a weekend (through the british museum, a nice little pub, and several crowded markets)
• Weathered a 26-page corporate brochure on ’sustainability’ (sustainability and high-performance bathroom fixtures, no less)
• seen a couple of photo shoots go by - including one that still has our studio full of several thousand dollars worth of houseplants
• acquired a large quantity of very nice houseplants
• Had my picture taken (twice now) as Vermeer’s ‘girl with a pearl earring’ (to incredible, beautiful effect - see the test shot here. )
• tromped silently, resolutely, single-file through three parties as one of a 6-member posse of ‘crazy-88′ fighters from the Kill Bill series (masks, black suits, samurai swords and all. See that here.) that was halloween #1.
• accompanied christopher (dressed as a dead-on Eastwood in ‘fistful of dollars’ ) - as a vampiress. Hey. There were certainly vampires in the old west. That was halloween #2.
• Bought a TiVo and upped my television viewing twice over. (there are just so many good shows out there. WHY does some tv have to be so damn witty and well-written these days? I can’t NOT watch.)
• seen mr poe and ms marzipan get married in the most swankified, beautiful, high-class/old-south style imaginable. Good lord was that a good time.

there’s more. i know it. i just can’t think right now. maybe i’ll get back to this soon. over the holidays when i’m sitting around doing nothing. too bad i can’t post IN the car on the way to Indiana…

later. i promise.
